I AM FINALLY HOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. WOOHOO.
5 days away at pulau ubin, felt like a week. i swear. one night felt like 2 nights.
a day felt like 2 days. sheesh.
-
First day:
We were introduced to our instructors, mine was Elton. no nurul, he's not gay.
hahahha. and and we got to know our watch name, mine was MARCO POLO. nyahaha.
Marco polo-ians are cool people. not junko, not nila utama, not anything else. hahah.
took a ferry to pulau ubin, and then got brought to our stores and was introduced to
equipments. elton taught us tent pitching, which at first i thought was hard, but in the
end it was easy. yeah. cooked outdoors. braised peanuts are nice, somehow. and they get
along well with rice and cream of chicken(campbell). hahha. yeah. to think that i never
liked any of those. heh. i also slept like a baby, cause i was super tired. and and, also
cause i saw how the stars shine so brightly in the sky. and it made me happy, and not be
afraid of anything. :D
-
Second day;
We did height elements. instead of the usual rock climbing or whatsoever, elton made us
do ladders which had spacings the length from your feet to your waist. it was hard, for
the smaller ones. the taller ones did have problems too cause its hard ah. seems easy,
but it actually isnt. yeah. also learned how to belay. its easy ah, you just need to get the
techniques right. kay so after the height elements, we went out to the sea to learn how to kayak.
learned the different methods of paddling. and also how to capsize and rescue a capsized boat.
it was fun ah. but tiring. we had a different campsite. which i thought sucked, cause i woke up
at night several times, cause i heard what may seem like wild boars. tsk. amo can curry chicken
also taste good and it was an UPXZXZ cause we havent had proper meals. our lunches are
practically bread la. i bet what i eat is less then what i burn.
-
Third day:
Sea expedition! Had to kayak for 5 and a half hour. i dont know the journey but its over 4 km.
we had to kayak to another campsite, camp jelutong. the currents were total bitches. me and frin
were having a really hard time paddling. i had to adjust my towel cause i didnt have a cap.
we both panic when our boat is not going to where we want it to go. yi yun likes throwing orange
peels. damn funny, i swear, and some of us had sea sick. thank god, we persevered through. (:
the campsite wasnt nice at all. the water used for toilet bowls are yellow. and their toilets smells.
and we cant bathe, though our hair had lots of sea salt. tsk. we also had sentry duty, our group had
our shift at 1am. and at 2am, we heard people playing techno music. which was really weird.
cause usually we would hear the monks chanting and beating their drums.
-
Fourth day;
Land expedition! it was much better then the sea expedition, our main objectives was just to
get back to the campsite cause all of us wanted to bathe real bad. trekked for 8km. i was the
navigator, and then i lead the rest to the jetty opposite johor. hahhahaahha. that slowed us down,
and i was feeling so so guilty, but in the end i managed to find the way back to the campsite.
hahhaha. sang while we trekked, named my camping stick rafiki, according to yi yun. made
up the marco  polo cheer that goes like this," M to the A to the R to the C to the O POLO(x2)"
and the le xuan would do a remix and then we'd go ,"MARCO POLO-LO-LO-LO-LO-LO-LO-LO
APPLE BOTTOM JEANS, BOOTS WITH THE (POLO) FUR, THE WHOLE CLUB LOOKING
AT US, WE HIT THE FLO, NEXT THING YOU KNOW, MARCO POLO-LO-LO-LO-LO-LO-LO-LO"
HAHHAHAHHA. damn funny. finally, when we arrived at our campsite, we could then pack our
stores, and then we bathed. oh oh. had mass games, damn funny. our group had the best timing,
though it wasnt announced. and then we could all sleep, after laying out the ground mats and ponchos.
-
Fifth day;
Victoria, Frin and i thought this day would never come man. the day we get to go home. i was having fun
there, but i'd rather go home. yeah. i miss Elton/Daddy Duck/Father goose/earthquake man. at the
beginning i didnt really like him as our instructor, but i eventually realize that he's really nice uh. yeah.
basically, we just packed our stuff and debrief, and left ubin! nyahahhaha.
-
basically, the whole thing was awesome, not beyawesome, but awesome. yeah. my tent mates were awesome.
victoria, frin and noran. victoria was unlike the way she usually is in school, and she thought us her dance
moves. frin with her usual nutty-ness and noran, with her dora-ness. from kungfu dora, sumo dora, sporty dora
doctor dora, techno dora etc. nights are usually the best cause we'd be laughing our asses off in the tents
making shadows from the torch lights, noran with her pervertic croc, vic with her rhino and frin with her
wild boar. hahhaa. and going around ubin together was fun. made new friends, and we became closer indeed,
as a class. and no yiyun, im a wild boar, not a fish. and i dont intend to become a fish, if you know what i mean.
haha. and frin is a wild boar too! not a fish. haha. the some of us from 3/5 also became closer through this camp,
and its definitely a good start for the year. OH. amriyatul, (coughcough) aqua lily. hahahha.
